We just happened to at the right place at the right time. We were in very slow traffic Sunday and ended up sitting in front of Montata Mike's for several minutes. It smelled wonderful! So...we pulled in to eat while we the traffic eased. I am glad we did.
It turns out... they were not officially open for business yet. This was their training day for the staff. They were offering a limited menu with the stipulation that each person ordered something different. For $10 per person you got a big steak, chicken, or salmon, salad, roll, side dish, drink and a free appetizer for your party. It was great We ordered the fried mushroom/zuchinni combo for our appetizer (very good). I had the 12 oz. ribeye with 2 huge scoops of mashed potatoes and gravy. Hubby got the 12oz. sirloin with a hefty portion of sauteed mushrooms. He said his was a little dry on one end, but still tasty. Defintely more food than we could have ever been able to eat.
The waitress was very nice, and for $20 we got a real bargain. The normal price would have been $40. _________________ Look up! |

| They do that at new restaurants in Springfield all the time, but I can't find out how to get on their guest list! Sounds great! |

It was packed, packed, packed tonight. If you like huge servings. They have them. Didn't really care much for their gravy. As we left, my husband said, if they ONLY served Dutton cobbler!!!! Then he begin to sing about Dutton cobbler as we drove down the strip. He sang to the tune of White Christmas-"I'm Dreaming of some Dutton cobbler". The steaks looked huge. He had a chicken fried steak and I can't believe he ate the whole thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had chicken strips and had a box full left to bring home. There was a party of 10 there from Arkansas, and a party of 12 from Arizona. Then smaller groups everywhere with people standing and waiting in a very long line when we left.
Well, it was ok, but I don't think I would put it on my favorite list! |

Well my sister-in-law went on Friday. She didn't care of it any more then we did. Big sign said daily special chicken strips when you came in the door. So she didn't look at the menu, she just planned to order the strips. Then when busy waitress came to take their order, they were out.
So she rushed to pick something. She has been at another one several times and said they sure were different. |

We ate at Montana Mikes this past Friday night. The service was good and so was my food. But I only ate a sweet baked potato and a salad. _________________ Deb

| I have had pretty good luck there. WE can always find something that our little picky eaters will eat. Portions are great. Food is a little on the mediocre side, but good for the price. WE go there when we have all the kids and don't want to spend a lot. |

My first visit was back when the one on 76 first opened. I just haven't wanted to go back, but tonight we tried the one across from K-mart.
It was great, all four of us really enjoyed our meal. My sister in law
said it was the best food she had in quite some time. Great service
and great food. I am sure will will be going back again soon. |
