THE DUTTONS WELCOME THE BLACKWOODS TO THE DUTTON FAMILY THEATER
BrPigeon Forge Stars Join Ranks with The Duttons and the All Hands on Deck Show
The Blackwoods on Stage in Branson, MO
Branson, MO: The Duttons are thrilled to announce the addition of The Blackwoods to their theater schedule for 2017.
“We are so excited to have the Blackwoods in our theater,” said Timothy Dutton, General Manager. “The Blackwoods are a part of country music and gospel history and we feel honored that they are bringing their show to us.”
The Blackwoods are known throughout gospel music circles for their pure family harmony, excellent musicianship, and first class entertainment. With an 80 year track record of hits, The Blackwoods bring hand-clapping, high energy entertainment to the stage. To quote a recent fan, “The show is American, family, loyalty and excellence all rolled into two hours that will leave you spellbound!”
The show is a stroll down memory lane with history and video of the original Blackwood Brothers and the Blackwood singers and the songs that made them a household name. A rousing veteran’s tribute is always a part of the show as is that feeling of family that audience members experience this great performance.
The Duttons announce they will host the Blackwoods in 2017 at Dutton Family Theater
With that in mind, the Blackwoods sound very excited about the opportunity to be at The Duttons. Said Donna Blackwood, “What better theater for us to go to than this one with another group who has the same professional and family values at their theater. Add to the mix the amazing “All Hands on Deck Show” that celebrates our country and our veterans. Well, we couldn’t feel more at home.”
The Blackwoods will open their season at the Dutton Family Theater on February 9, 2017. The Duttons will open April 5, 2017 and All Hands on Deck will open April 7th. For tickets and information, please contact the Dutton Family theater at 417-332-2772.
About The Blackwoods: In all, the Blackwood Singers have been awarded eight Grammys, 27 Dove Awards, five All-American Music Awards, the Publishers Choice Diamond Award, and the coveted Living Legend Award in Gospel Music. In addition to all the accolades, the family has also performed with the likes of Johnny Cash and June Carter, Dolly Parton, Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers, and pop icons such as Frankie Avalon, Cher, and Sammy Davis, Jr. The Blackwoods were a big part of the Branson music scene for many years with their own show at the Ozark Jubilee Theater, before moving to Pigeon Forge where they based their show for 15 years.. About The Duttons: THE DUTTONS are international touring and recording artists who’ve made their home in Branson, performing 5-10 shows per week for the last 19 years at their own Theater on the 76 “strip” in Branson, MO and, during the winter season, at their Family Theater in Mesa, AZ.
