“ALL HANDS ON DECK! Show” returns to Branson April 27, 2021
(BRANSON, MO) “Hey Leader, Strike Up The Band!” The Dutton Family Theater will soon be filled with the romantic and swinging sounds of the 1940’s when the “All Hands On Deck! Show” returns to Branson on April 27, 2021, with morning performances through December.
Madaras Productions Group and The Dutton Family Theater are proud to announce the return of the “ALL HANDS ON DECK! Show” to Branson! Celebrating Swing, Big Bands and the Music of the 1940’s, the “ALL HANDS ON DECK! Show” is an homage to the days of Bob Hope, and bills itself as the “singin’est, swingin’est show in town.” With Branson’s largest live orchestra providing that all-too-rare big band sound, it’s easy to see that the moniker is accurate. The popular WWII-era Roadshow & Radio Broadcast morning show also welcomes two new cast members Lloyd Alexander-Holt and Sarah McCord, and features the songs, dances, laughs, and favorite radio commercials that America has loved for over 70 years!
“We are super excited! Our stars, musicians and staff have been aching to do the show for months. It’s the songs that we have missed most of all,” show creator Jody Madaras admitted. “The songs we sing, those glorious harmonies, and the tap dancing are infectious. You just feel better when you hear them.” “It’s our fourth season in Branson, and we love sharing our musical message of patriotism here—the people in this community are just the best,” said co-star Valerie Hill in a recent interview.
The “ALL HANDS ON DECK! Show” features Broadway veterans Jody Madaras (creator, Ted Crosley) and Valerie Hill (Betty Blake), new cast members Sarah McCord (Daisy Maxwell) and Lloyd Alexander-Holt (John Handley), and the rich sounds of the LIVE 9-piece Hollywood Victory Caravan Orchestra (featuring some of Branson’s finest musicians), classic commercials, tight harmonies, impromptu skits, and 42 of the greatest American songs ever written, as well as a full-circle patriotic salute celebrating the American way of life; reminding us of a time when our country was fully united.
Songs include: Chattanooga Choo-Choo; Atchison, Topeka And The Santa Fe; I’m In The Mood For Love; Pennsylvania Polka; I’ll Never Smile Again; Any Bonds Today?; Don’t Fence Me In; America The Beautiful; Deep In The Heart Of Texas; Thanks For The Memory, and a powerful Military Medley – a rousing salute to America and our servicemen and women!
